Jennifer Vasilakos creates emotionally charged oil paintings that weave in and out of darkness and light. The paintings hold the feeling of being enchanted and otherworldly, carrying a manner of limitless possibilities both within the self and for the world around us.
After earning a B.F.A. from Florida Atlantic University Jennifer began her artistic career winning a scholarship to study in Florence, Italy in 1995-96. She that participated in the Erasmus Project in Delphi, Greece which exhibited as ‘Le Lumbilico del Mundo’ in Bologna, Italy. From there Jennifer has shown at galleries and museums both around the US and abroad, winning awards such as Best in Show at the 43rd Hortt memorial Competition in Ft. Lauderdale FL, the Dorst Award, Boca Raton, and the Artist Recognition Award, Tri-County Exhibition, Coral Springs, FL.
